Trump Launches “Trump Gold Card” Visa

White House in DC
|

On Wednesday, December 10, 2025, the administration of President Donald Trump launched the “Trump Gold Card” visa initiative, creating a premium-fee option for non-U.S. citizens to obtain expedited residency approval.

The “Gold Card” program is similar to the existing EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program but does not require the creation of jobs within the United States. Current guidelines outline that individuals who are admissible to the United States and make an unrestricted gift of $1 million to the Department of Commerce will be eligible for an immigrant visa. Corporations may also apply on behalf of an individual for $2 million.

The website Trumpcard.gov is now live, with an "apply now" button that allows interested applicants to pay a $15,000 non-refundable fee to the Department of Homeland Security to initiate the process. Upon completion and receipt of payment, Applicants will need to complete the Department of Homeland Security I-140G form.

Our office has experience preparing strong immigrant visa applications across a variety of eligibility categories. The following documents will likely be required for an application:

  • Evidence demonstrating that the $1 million gift funds (for individual applicants) or $2 million gift funds (for corporate applicants) were obtained legally and taxed appropriately
  • Birth certificates of any children under 21 who will be included in the application as dependents, if applicable
  • Marriage certificate of the applicant and their spouse who will be included in the application as a dependent, if applicable

If you have any prior criminal history, you will also need to include your certified court order, police clearance certificates, and police/arrest records, regardless of where the crime(s) occurred.

If you are interested in applying for lawful permanent residence under the Gold Card program or are a corporation looking to sponsor an individual, please contact Verma Law Firm for an in-depth consultation with an experienced immigration attorney.
