Selected Statistics for FY2011 Released

The Office of Foreign Labor Certification (OFLC) released a worksheet detailing selected statistics for fiscal years 2011.

According to the statistics the OFLC received 43,179 online PERM applications between October 2010 and May 2011. Only 1,905 mail-in applications were received for the same year.

The newly released statistics also stated that of the active PERM cases (as of May 31, 2011), 37 percent was filed for individuals with Master’s degrees. An equal number of PERM cases, 37 percent, were filed for individuals with Bachelor’s degrees. PERM cases for individuals without a degree came in at 12 percent.

As far as the OFLC’s processing of active applications, the office currently has 44 percent of its active cases under analyst review. Another 29 percent are being audited, and 24 present are going through appeals.

Lastly, the OFLC released information about the PERM processing priority dates. As of May 31, 2011, the cases undergoing analyst review are backlogged as of April of 2011. OFLC is now processing the audited cases from September 2010. OFLC is processing its currently processing standard appeals from November 2008. The government error appeals are processing at the current date.
