Employment Based Green Cards:

The EB-2 category for China has moved back from August 01, 2006 to April 01, 2004 and for India it has moved back from August 01, 2006 to April 01, 2003.  The EB-1 category is still Current for all countries.  The EB-3 category for China is at October 01, 2001; for India it is at July 01, 2001; for Mexico it is at July 01, 2002; for the Philippines it is at January 01, 2005.

Family Based Green Cards:

The dates for the 1^st category, unmarried sons and daughters of US citizens, for Family Based Green Cards for China and India has moved up from April 01, 2002 to April 15, 2002.  The dates for Mexico and the Philippines have remained the same.  The dates for all chargeability areas except those listed above moved up from April 01, 2002 to April 15, 2002.

The 2^nd category, spouses and children, and unmarried sons and daughters of Permanent Residents, for Family Based Green Cards is split into two subcategories.  The first subcategory, Subcategory A, is for spouses and children of Permanent Residents.  The dates for Subcategory A for China, Philippines and India have moved up from December 01, 2003 to January 01, 2004. The date for Mexico is May 01, 2001.  The dates for all chargeability areas except those listed above moved up from December 01, 2003 to January 01, 2004.

The second subcategory, Subcategory B, is for unmarried sons and daughters who are 21 years old or older.  The dates for Subcategory B for all countries have remained the same.

The dates for the 3^rd category, married sons and daughters of US citizens, for Family Based Green Cards for China and India has moved up from June 15, 2000 to June 22, 2000. The date for Mexico has remained the same at September 15, 1992.  The date for the Philippines has moved up from April 22, 1991 to May 01, 1991.  The dates for all chargeability areas except those listed above moved up from June 15, 2000 to June 22, 2000.

The dates for the 4^th category, brothers and sisters of adult US citizens, for Family Based Green Cards for China has moved up from April 08, 1997 to May 01, 1997.  The date for India has moved up from April 08, 1997 to May 22, 1997.  The dates for Mexico and the Philippines have remained the same.  The dates for all chargeability areas except those listed above moved up from October 01, 1997 to October 22, 1997.
