U.S. Consulate in Chennai, India has stopped processing Immigrant Visa Petitions as of January 01, 2012.

The U.S. Consulate in Chennai will no longer process Immigrant Visa Petitions as of January 01, 2012. All Immigrant Visa will only be accepted by U.S. Consulate in Delhi and U.S. Consulate in Mumbai. Applicants who are currently in the process of petitioning for an Immigrant Visa must contact the U.S. Consulate in Chennai via email at ChennaiIVU@state.gov for clarification of their case status.
