USCIS to Start Issuing 2-Year EADs
On Monday, June 09, 2008 the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary,
Michael Chertoff, announced that the USCIS will begin issuing Employment
Authorization Documents (EAD) with a validity of two years instead of one year,
later this month. This will be for all applicants with I-485 applications
(Application for U.S. Legal Permanent Residence) that are expected to be pending
for more than one year. |
