H-1B Cap Count for FY 2011 as of July 23, 2010

USCIS stated that as of July 23, 2010, approximately 26,000 H-1B cap-subject petitions have been filed. The H-1B Regular Cap Amount is 65,000 H-1B visas. Additionally, 11,300 H-1B petitions for aliens with advanced degrees had been received by USCIS. The H-1B Master's Exemption Cap Amount is 20,000 H-1B visas. USCIS will continue to accept both cap-subject petitions and advanced degree petitions until a sufficient number of H-1B petitions have been received to reach the statutory limits, taking into account the fact that some of these petitions ma be denied, revoked, or withdrawn.
