FedEx Delivers 50,000 Packets to CSC on April 01, 2008.

FedEx is reporting that it delivered 50,000 packets to the California Service Center on April 01, 2008, the first day of filing for H-1B 2009 quota. This may be an indication of the final number of H-1B visas which will be filed up until April 07, 2008. USCIS will accept H-1B visas application of the H-1B 2009 quota over 5 business days, ending April 07, 2008, then run a lottery. H-1B visas can be filed either at the Vermont Service Center or the California Service Center depending upon the H-1B Beneficiary’s location of work.

FedEx may have delivered an equal number of packets at the Vermont Service Center on April 01, 2008, as well. This is only one courier company reporting. We have not yet heard from UPS, DHL, United States Postal Service, etc. in regard to the number of packets they have delivered to the California Service Center and Vermont Service Center from April 01, 2008 to present ie April 04, 2008.
