Changes to the filing location of stand-alone I-130 petitions
In an effort to balance workloads and provide more efficient and effective
processing of I-130 petitions, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS)
have changed the filing locations for stand-alone I-130 petitions. Depending on
the residence of the Petitioner, the I-30 petitions will now be filed either at
the Chicago Lockbox or the Phoenix Lockbox.
I-130 petitions filed from countries without USCIS offices will be send to the
Chicago Lockbox facility. Petitioners filing from country with a USCIS office,
may send their I-130 petition to the Chicago Lockbox, or file their I-130
petition at the international USCIS office having jurisdiction over the area
they live.
There are no changes in the filing locations for Form I-130 filed along with
Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status.
