Broadcasters working for the International Broadcasting Bureau of the Broadcasting Board of Governors

Broadcasters are defined as:

 

·         Reporters, writers, translators, editors, producers, or announcers for news broadcasts;

·         Hosts for news broadcasts, news analysis, editorial and other broadcast features;

·         A news analysis specialist.

 

Note that employees performing technical and support roles are not included as eligible.

 

This category is limited to 100 visas per year.  Broadcasters working for the BBG (Broadcasting Board of Governors) are eligible, as well as employees of grantees of BBG, such as Radio Free Asia, Inc. or Radio Free Europe.  Spouses and children of applicants are also eligible for status.

 

An applicant must submit the I-360 form as well as job title, job description, and details about the broadcasting expertise of the applicant.
